MODERN INTIMATE WEDDINGS IN VANCOUVER
A Smaller Wedding Doesn’t Mean a Smaller Experience.
A thoughtful, intimate wedding experience in Richmond, designed around the moments that actually matter — from getting ready and private vows to ceremony, family, photo and video.
An intimate wedding can still include everything that makes the day feel complete — getting ready, first look, private vows, ceremony, family traditions, portraits, photo and video. The difference is that you have more room to slow down and actually experience it.
-
Absolutely. A smaller guest count does not make the experience any less meaningful. You can still have getting ready, a first look, private vows, a ceremony, family traditions, portraits, photography and video.
-
That is actually one of the reasons many couples choose an intimate wedding.
-
Yes. With the right timeline, four hours can feel surprisingly complete.
A typical flow may include:
Makeup & Hair → Getting Ready → First Look → Private Vows → Couple Portraits → Guests Arrive → Ceremony → Family PhotosThe goal is not to squeeze everything in. It is to remove unnecessary downtime and keep the important moments.
-
Yes, and many couples love this option.
Private vows give you a quiet moment together without an audience. You can say something more personal before the formal ceremony, then keep the public vows shorter and more traditional if you prefer.

A Tea Ceremony and Western Ceremony can work beautifully on the same day, especially with a smaller guest count. We can help arrange the timeline so both traditions feel intentional rather than rushed.
-
Rain does not have to change the entire wedding plan.
Because the studio gives you a complete indoor option, the ceremony, vows, family photos and couple portraits can still happen without weather stress. If conditions improve, outdoor photos can still be added when timing allows.

Yes.
Photography captures the visual moments, while video keeps the voices, laughter, vows and movement. For intimate weddings, those small emotional moments are often what couples value most afterward.
-
Only if wearing one matters to you.
Some couples choose a full wedding gown, others prefer something simpler, and some include both Western and Chinese attire. A smaller wedding does not mean you need to give up the parts of a wedding day you have always wanted.
-
Yes, depending on the setup and number of guests.
Pets can often join the ceremony, portraits or family photos. We just recommend planning who will be responsible for them before and after their part of the day so you can stay focused on the wedding.
-
You do not have to choose one or the other.
We can keep the traditions that are genuinely meaningful to your family—such as Tea Ceremony, formal family photos or specific cultural elements—while simplifying the rest of the day.
-
The included setup depends on your package.
Our studio has a ceremony area, arch and available seating options. Seating is currently a curated mix-and-match collection rather than one identical chair style. If you want a specific chair style, larger quantity, upgraded florals, signage or custom decor, those can be arranged separately.
-
Our intimate weddings are designed for smaller guest counts.
The ideal number depends on the ceremony layout, seating requirements and how much open space you would like to keep for photography and movement. If your guest count changes, let us know early so we can recommend the best setup and advise whether additional rentals are needed.
Questions you may not think to ask until you start planning — but they can make a big difference to how your wedding day actually feels.
